This position, under the guidance of a PhD supervisor, required evaluating the application of machine learning models to improve the prediction accuracy of patient outcomes following lung transplantation. The primary objective was to validate various machine learning models and measure their predictive performance using the Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic (AUROC) curve as a key metric.
Software used: SPSS (to conduct majority of data analysis), R (data analysis), Excel (minor data analysis), Covidence (literature review), Mendeley (citation manager).

I am the third author of a recent medical journal publication conducted under the supervision of Dr. Boris Zevin. My role involved conducting in-depth review of existing literature, screening using Covidence software, data analysis, and manuscript writing to contribute to the growing body of evidence on bariatric surgery as a therapeutic intervention for MASH disease. I reviewed clinical studies and assessed the impact of weight loss surgery on liver histology, biomarkers, and fibrosis progression.
